Heirloom variety brought to the U.S. from the Black Forest region of Germany in the late 1800s by the family of Joseph Bratka of Elmwood Park, New Jersey.
Indeterminate plants produce 6 oz pink fruit, midseason.
2014– July 2, 3′ vine, 1 fruit, many blossoms. July 14, 4′, many fruit.
2015 – May 20 – set plants out. June 28 – 3 ‘ vine with 6 large fruit. July 9 – 4′ vine with 25 fruit. Aug. 8- 4’ vine with big crop of perfect 3″ fruit, mostly ripe.
